Quatrains of the beautiful girl [Catrenele fetei frumoase] - Lucian Blaga
added by: Octavian

I
Because the sun cannot go to sleep
without looking back, just for fun,
at the young girls, I wonder:
why would I be different from the sun?

II
A beautiful girl is a window
Open to the Paradise supreme.
Sometimes, more real than truth
is an illusive dream.

III
A beautiful girl is the clay
that fills the molds we create,
to reach that level of perfection
where the nice stories wait.

IV
What a clean and neat shadow
casts a girl in the light!
It's almost like nothingness,
that thing pure and bright.

V
A beautiful girl is the vault
of this life of our own,
she's the sky of the sky
and the ring's precious stone.

VI
Beauty, you came out of beauty
unexpectedly and full of glory,
as in the “One thousand and one nights”
the story emerges from the story.

VII
A beautiful girl is like smoke,
a fantasy difficult to trust,
who when walks, on her soles,
stick the road and the dust.

VIII
A beautiful girl is like the mirage
one can see in the glade,
she's the gold of the speech,
the tear of the Heaven we'll reach.
